Covid Choral Workshops

05 May, 2020

As you may have recently heard, this year’s Royal National Mòd in Inverness has been postponed until 2021; a sad but sensible idea given the current circumstances. Many Gaelic choristers are still virtually meeting on a regular basis for a sing and catch up and it was suggested that it would be an idea to learn and/or revisit some of the more common Gaelic choral repertoire.

As a result, Joy will be running bi-weekly virtual choral workshops over the next few months to work through songs from the infamous Purple (formerly Blue) Book. These workshops are open to anyone else that might like to come along for a singalong. The emphasis will be on enjoyable, social distance learning in a virtual environment and you don’t need to be a Gaelic speaker or have any previous Gaelic choral experience.

The first workshop will take place on Saturday 7th May at 12pm, with a nominal fee of £3 to cover costs. Due to virtual limitations, spaces need to be booked in advance through this link, with full details being emailed to all expressions of interest upon receipt.
