Here’s a wee live video of “The Light Gatherer”, one of the songs that appears on ‘Fiere’, my new album with the lovely Twelfth Day. It was recorded by the very kind Andy Kelham after our gig at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.

Just thought i’d let all you Scottish Field fans know that the May issue has a 6 page picture spread all about Argyll featuring yours truly. Despite getting soaked to the skin whilst being photographed, we had a great day & Argyll still look fab. There are also a good few snaps fro the Dunlop archives of me as a child growing up in Argyll, mo nàire mhòr!

Fiere - Joy Dunlop and Twelfth Day

Joy is excited to finally announce the full tour dates for her upcoming ‘Fiere’ album tour with the wonderful Twelfth Day. They are performing 11 concerts in 10 days in some fabulous venues throughout the UK and it would be fantastic to see you if they’re passing your way. Joy is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of a new collaborative CD between herself and Scottish duo, Twelfth Day. Entitled ‘Fiere,’ (Scots for friend or companion) the album is a song cycle that explores the the lives, loves and experiences of women in Scotland. They have taken English, Scots and Gaelic poems by fantastic female poets including Jackie Kay, Carol Ann Duffy & Meg Bateman and turned them into songs – a fantastic new experience for all involved!

Joy & Twelfth Day will be launching the album with a UK wide tour and it would be wonderful to see as many of you there as possible. If you’re in the vicinity, please come and say hello.
